Vanity suffixes: pump, bonk, 7777 and what they mean

Why so many token addresses end in pump, bonk or repeated digits.

A vanity address is generated by trying keys until the address matches a pattern. Launchpads do it on purpose so their tokens are recognisable.

Common patterns

  • …pump: pump.fun on Solana.
  • …bonk: letsbonk.fun on Solana.
  • …moon, …boop: smaller Solana launchpads.
  • …7777 or …4444: common on BNB Chain launchpads like four.meme.

What it does not mean

A suffix is not an audit. Anyone can launch through a launchpad, rugs included. The inspector shows the launchpad, bonding progress and the security flags together.
