Fake contract addresses: how copycat tokens catch buyers

Copycats launch tokens with the same name and a near-identical address. How to spot them.

When a token trends, dozens of clones appear within minutes. They copy the name, the logo and sometimes the first and last characters of the address.

Prefix and suffix matching

Wallets and chats often shorten an address to B3Ss…pump. Scammers grind addresses that share those ends. Compare the full string, or paste both into the extractor to see them side by side.

Edited messages

A Telegram post can be edited after it gets forwarded. Take the address from the source you trust, then verify it.

Links that swap the address

A link can show one address in its text and point to another. The link decoder reads the real target.
